Thomas Ascione

Maître Thomas Ascione is a member of the Paris Bar and an associate at INFLUXIO. He advises music and technology clients in both advisory and litigation matters, with a practice centred on intellectual property, copyright and neighbouring rights, music law and digital law.

Before joining INFLUXIO, Maître Ascione worked within a French collective rights management organisation in Paris, supporting authors and performers on a daily basis. That experience allows him to handle royalty allocation, work registration, splits between co-authors and dealings with collecting societies with precision.

He reviews and negotiates artist, publishing, licensing, distribution and production agreements, checking the scope of the assignment, term, territory, royalty base and rates, recoupable advances, accounting obligations and exit conditions. He acts for artists as well as for labels and producers.

Yes. He previously practised in a leading intellectual property and technology law firm on matters combining technology contracts, content exploitation and protection of intangible assets. He advises startups on ownership of rights, terms of use, licences and contractual relationships with providers and users.
